Wedding Published
Greenbrier weddings are some of my favorite events to photograph. I would like to send out my personal thanks to Kelly and Kevin for allowing their wedding to be published in the Knot’s Real Weddings section for the state of West Virginia and to The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia for their warm hospitality towards my assistants and me. Colin Quinn, Caroline Rhea, and Christian Finnegan
The Paramount Theater hosted a comedy road show featuring the country’s hottest stand-up comics all sharing the bill on one hilarious evening…….that’s The LAF- The Laughter Arts Festival. This unique comedy tour, headlined this year by Colin Quinn (Saturday Night Live, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn), Caroline Rhea (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Drew Carey Show, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch), and Christian Finnegan (Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Chappelle’s Show), is the only place to see several of the nation’s funniest comedians together live in one show! They did not disappoint! Enjoy a few photographs from the show below.
Robert Earl Keen
Among the large contingent of talented songwriters who emerged in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, Robert Earl Keen struck an unusual balance between sensitive story-portraits and raucous barroom fun. Last night was no exception, performing at The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Ten Tenors
Part classical, part pop, and completely unparalleled, The Ten Tenors deliver a dynamic mix of vocal power — high-tone opera, jazz, rock, and classic pop; everything from arias to ABBA and Verdi to Queen. From the moment the group burst upon the concert scene in 2001, their international career has flourished.
Since then, the classically-trained, all-Australian singing sensation has enjoyed a relentless touring schedule with sold-out performances in Europe, Asia, and their native Australia, appearing alongside such artists as Rod Stewart, Andrea Boccelli, Alanis Morissette, Willie Nelson, Lionel Ritchie, and Christina Aguilera.
The group made a stop at The Paramount Theater last night and were a pleasure to photograph!
Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra
The “greatest large jazz ensemble working today” (The Chicago Tribune), the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) is dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences for jazz. The Orchestra’s red-hot performances — featuring 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today and classic American jazz standards — leave the bandstand smokin’ with the heat and passion of swing!
Led by Music Director Wynton Marsalis, JLCO is celebrating their 20th anniversary with the Jazz Masterpieces Tour, a thrilling evening of swing. I was able to photograph this show at The Paramount Theater on September 11th.
Wynonna
World-renowned vocalist, entertainer, and 5-time Grammy award-winner, Wynonna has sold in excess of ten million solo recordings, been awarded top Female Vocalist award by the Academy of Country Music, and celebrated 13 top ten hits. Throughout her 23-year career, she has enjoyed multiple gold and platinum albums including Wynonna, Tell Me Why, Revelations, and What the World Needs Now is Love.
A phenomenal music icon, Wynonna touches hearts and souls with her music and life story. With favorite hits and some unexpected covers, her powerful, soulful voice and presence filled The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday, September 21.
Peter Frampton
Already a seasoned music industry veteran in his early 20s, guitarist/singer Peter Frampton’s superstar status was sealed with the album Frampton Comes Alive! (1976). From hits “Show Me The Way” and “I’m In You” to playing David Bowie’s “Glass Spider” tour, introducing his Framptone talkbox to recording the 2007 Grammy® Award-winning Fingerprints, Frampton has proven to be an artist who makes music on his own terms. I had the chance to photograph Peter Frampton at The Paramount Theater on August 22nd.
